Buying & Merchandising Assistant
Our client, a fast growing, entrepreneurial organisation are taking the premium fashion market by storm. Through continued growth, they are looking for a Buying and Merchandising Admin Assistant to join the small, but driven team.
You will be a commercially aware individual, with excellent Excel skills, meticulously organised with excellent communication skills who can build rapport with ease.
The role is varied, fast paced and requires you to be a logical thinker. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be a part of a success story, roll your sleeves up and get stuck into tasks!
As Buying Admin Assistant, you will be responsible for:
•Providing strong administrative support ensuring the day to running of the department is smooth.
• Proactively managing and updating the department critical path daily, demonstrating an extensive and detailed knowledge of each product.
•Raising purchase orders
•Tracking placed orders from factory date to Delivery to the Warehouse
•Working alongside Design/QC to ensure samples are fit approved to meet the production & delivery schedule.
•Building and maintain strong relationships with your colleagues across design, buying, merchandising, garment technology, digital marketing & the warehouse.
•Developing strong relationships externally with suppliers
•Understanding the departments sales (TRADE) performance stock & sales
•Monitor and maintain control over the buying/purchase process, ensuring product lines and lead times mean full stock availability
Your skills and experience should include:
•Strong Excel skills and used to working with high volumes of data
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Highly organised individual, able to manage multiple tasks with ease and retain attention to detail
•Resilience in adapting to change
•Commercial awareness, a level of financial understanding and numeracy along with an affinity with product
•Self-motivated and able to work both independently and provide a support structure to the team around you
• Passionate & enthusiastic about the fashion industry
